Is the tour too scary for my kids?

While the tour is not designed to be a “fun house” type of experience, with folks jumping out and scaring you, the stories of Savannah’s “darker side” do cover some pretty frightening subject matter, so we give the tour a PG-13 rating. We recommend children under the age of 13 only join if their parents feel they can handle the subject matter without getting too frightened. Infants/toddlers are not recommended for the tour.

Is the tour handicapped accessible?

Reasonable accommodations for all of our disabled guests will be made. Please call us at least 24 hours in advance so that we can make appropriate arrangements.

Unfortunately, because a significant portion of our tour takes place in a house that does not have any accommodations for people with disabilities (as a historic home, it is exempt from such requirements), and does require climbing stairs, the tour is not  recommended for folks who are unable to safely navigate such elements.

Is there free parking for the tour? 

The tour departs from River Street (301 E. River Street- Simply Savannah Depot), promptly at tour time. There are a few public lots that are free after 5pm, and a few private lots that charge for parking. One can also park at any meters on Bay Street (the street just above River St.) free of charge after 5pm.

Does my E-TICKET guarantee me a seat on the date/time I’ve requested? 

NO - you MUST call 1-888-920-8687 (TOUR) to secure the date and time for your reservation.

Do we get to go inside the cemeteries?

Unfortunately, because of a change in the city ordinance, we are not permitted to enter the cemeteries for any reason after 8pm. As most of our tours occur after that time, we do not enter the cemetery during any of our tours…
