At the Savannah Pirates and Treasure Museum®, you’ll discover the real story behind the pirate legends. This isn’t a fantasy version of pirate life. It’s based on true events, real people and the maritime history that shaped Savannah and beyond. The museum features authentic 17th- and 18th-century naval artifacts, including coins, tools and weapons, along with stories from around the world and right here in Savannah.
Wander through interactive exhibits, snap a photo with lifelike wax figures of infamous pirates, and discover the bold tales that shaped Savannah’s seafaring past. This self-guided experience lets you explore at your own pace. Perfect for history buffs, pirate fans and anyone looking for something a little different to do in Savannah.
Hours of Operation:
Daily.
10 am – 6 pm.
Final entry is at 5:15 pm.
On Sundays, cocktail service for Museum visitors begins at 11:00 am.
Closed Saint Patrick’s Day, March 17.
Duration:
Plan for 45 to 90 minutes to take in the exhibits at your own pace and relax with a drink at The Pirates’ Tavern.

The Savannah Pirates and Treasure Museum® is in Savannah’s City Market, at the basement level below the American Prohibition Museum®.
Parking:
Paid parking is available both on-street and at the city-operated Whitaker Street Garage, located at 7 Whitaker St.
For Old Town Trolley guests, there is a trolley stop conveniently located at the end of the building.

Guests requiring handicapped access are kindly asked to check in at the American Prohibition Museum® booth, located on the ground level above the Savannah Pirates and Treasure Museum®. An elevator is available there to access the Savannah Pirates and Treasure Museum®.
The Savannah Pirates and Treasure Museum® is ADA compliant. Mobility aids such as wheelchairs and walkers are welcome throughout the facility. Service animals, as defined by the ADA, are also permitted.
Guests must be 21+ to purchase this package as it includes an alcoholic cocktail. For guests under 21 or non-drinkers, please purchase the ‘Museum Ticket Only’ option.
